This spring I have the pleasure of being able to contemplate a field of yellow flowers from my studio window. I used acrylic; collage and Indian ink to create an abstract composition inspired by the immense yellow surface of a rapeseed field. Bright colors capture energy and joy; while lines evoke growth and freedom. Beyond its simple visual beauty; this yellow field evokes the promise of infinite possibilities; the openness to the unknown and adventure. It is a reflection of life itself; with its vast expanses to explore; its challenges to overcome and its wonders to discover. Contemplating this yellow field from the window of my studio is like contemplating the soul of the world; an invitation to contemplation; to creation and to wonder at the splendor of the universe that surrounds us.
