Patrick Piccinelli is inspired by the special light at the start of the year in Switzerland. The days begin to lengthen and the winter sunlight enhances the landscape.
The shades of blue in this composition refer to the winter sky highlighted by the snowy landscape."Cold is for Philippe Jaccottet the vector of a transfiguration of
world and the metaphor of a poetic creation based on stripping;
back to elementary. An intimate link connects the representation of cold to poetry
of Jaccottet; for whom obliteration is "a way of shining" and for whom
cold winter light; both sparkling and infinitely fragile; gives access to
the depth of being. Winter is not for Jaccottet the season of the decline of
light; but on the contrary that of the radiation of a translucent light.The poetry of cold with Philippe Jaccottet
