This work on paper by Piccinelli evokes the metaphor of the night train. Like a journey through the meanders of the night; an odyssey where the stars are the only witnesses of our progress. Like a poem in movement; it crosses the darkness like a feather that glides over the pages of a nocturnal book.

The composition with its geometric structure is reminiscent of moving frames that expose ephemeral panoramas; landscapes that briefly light up in the moonlight. Sometimes we can feel the wind blowing on our face like a whisper of darkness; reminding us that we are traveling in the arms of night.

The night train is also a metaphor for life itself; with its moments of deep darkness and its moments of extraordinary light.
