This mixed-media collage is inspired by a track by the singer Sade: Siempre Hay Esperanza ("There is still hope").
Yellow—the color of light and energy—appears at both the top and bottom, connecting the two halves.
The torn edge represents a break that remains visible; yet, we piece things back together and move forward.
Siempre Hay Esperanza is an instrumental piece that closes the album Stronger Than Pride (1988).
Restraint. Sade’s music is known for its sobriety and elegance. The collage reflects this same rigor: a limited palette (yellow, black, cream, and a touch of orange), expansive areas of silence, and clean, precise alignments.
