Pierre Chevalley had a profound influence on my artistic career as a painting teacher at ECAL, the University of Art and Design in Lausanne. Beyond his undeniable talent as a painter, it was his ability to listen and his availability to his students that particularly touched me. He had a rare ability to understand each person's approach and to kindly guide us in our personal artistic exploration. His teaching was not limited to passing on techniques: he knew how to inspire us and encourage us to explore our own creative path. For me, Pierre Chevalley embodies both the excellence of a great artist and the humanity of a true teacher, someone who nurtured my passion for painting while respecting my uniqueness as a student in the making.
