The painter remembered his impressions; when very young; he was confronted with the immensity of a wheat field limited by the horizon and the sky. It is this visual poetry that is expressed in this work.

The place where the artist lives and works is surrounded by fields cultivated with care and precision by Swiss farmers. When Piccinelli walks in the surrounding countryside; it is as if he were crossing painted works that are both geometric and wild; like his own works.
