Work on paper; painting and drawing on Arches paper with collage of tinted papers and ink.The work is nourished by multiple references; the joy of living; the Côte d'Azur in the 1960s; the Italian Dolce Vita; the film "Pierrot Le Fou by Jean-Luc Godard and "Amarcord by Federico Fellini; but also the modernist architecture of Le Corbusier; the aesthetic research of Charles and Ray Eames in the field of design. For Piccinelli; the swimming pool represents a metaphor linked to his visual research. He is passionate about creating a visual dialogue between a rigorous and minimal geometric structure with random expressionist elements. The pool is a precise colored shape (often a blue rectangle). The reading of this rectangle is disturbed by the undulations of the water or a dive generating waves and splashes.
