Visual and auditory correspondences:

The ink stains and splatters in the center of the composition reproduce the logic of free improvisation: the gesture that starts, that overflows, that is unplanned but just right. Coltrane does not correct a misplaced note—he moves through it. I do not erase the splatter—I let it live!

The red square, isolated at the top, almost detached from the rest, evokes the spiritual and mystical dimension of Coltrane post-A Love Supreme.

The coexistence of geometry and chaos:

One of the important aspects of the work is the tension between control and overflow: regular rectangles coexist with wild ink gestures. This is exactly the structure of Coltrane's music in 1965—a harmonic and rhythmic framework that contains and then releases an energy that ultimately surpasses it.

The two works share the same poetics of productive tension—between structure and freedom, silence and explosion, earth and sky.
