The sun is beginning to rise. I love this time of day; I watch the sky lighten as I contemplate the landscape. It's a pure joy for me to discover this soft, peaceful light at this hour. I take the time to drink a coffee, imbuing my visual memory and emotions with this atmosphere.

Water is associated with life and purity, and for me, dawn represents hope, birth, and renewal.

This work is a diptych, created on two 60x60 cm canvases. The composition, in two distinct yet visually connected parts, represents a visual metaphor for transition.

Just as dawn is the passage from night to day.
