For me; the swimming pool represents a metaphor related to my visual research. I am passionate about the visual dialogue of a rigorous and minimal geometric structure with random expressionist elements. The swimming pool is a precise colored shape (often a blue rectangle). The reading of this rectangle is disturbed by the ripples of the water or a dive generating waves and splashes.

David Hockney; with his series "A bigger splash" staged the opposition between the smooth blue rectangle and the splashes generated by a dive into calm water.

As a painter; I could say that I want to dive into a smooth; geometric painting and splash it!

And that's what I do every time!
