I've always loved the colorful aesthetic of amusement parks. For me; Coney Island is a beautiful place when the crowds are gone. I feel a gentle; contemplative sadness then; a sense of nostalgia or loss. It could be the melancholy of the end of a summer day; the fading of childhood memories; or the recognition of the passage of time.

The place; usually saturated with sounds; lights; and smells; now expresses itself only visually. Since childhood; I have loved strolling through an amusement park; amidst the bright colors of the signs; in the peaceful silence. Chromatic melancholy.
