The title of this work on paper is inspired by the Madrigali by the composer Monteverdi. When I work in my studio and his sublime music resonates; I have the impression that a connection is established between my pictorial creation and his music.In this work I sought to capture the essence of abstraction and expressionism. Each layer of acrylic; ink and pigment tells an emotional story. The minimalism of my artistic work is close to the melodic minimalism of Monteverdi. The contrast of vibrant colors is an invitation to contemplation; the same state of contemplation that Claudio Monteverdi's madrigali suggests to me.
