This work on paper (Boesner mixed media 300 grams) is made from the collage of a page from Artforum magazine assembled with Arches paper and a fragment of laser-printed acetate. The surfaces are painted with an aerosol; the spots are made with acrylic ink and the lines with a paint marker.La Movida (from which the title of the work is inspired) was not only an artistic movement; but also a social and political movement. It symbolized the yearning for freedom and individual expression after decades of repression under the Franco regime. It was a period of tumultuous transition; marked by conflicts between traditional values and the new ideals of Spanish youth.Today; La Movida is considered a key moment in Spanish cultural history; which has helped shape the country's contemporary identity. His influences are still visible in music; art; fashion and cinema.
