In this work I sought to capture the essence of night; when silence becomes a canvas for our most intimate thoughts. Through acrylic; collage and pigments; I explored the limits of abstraction; expressionism and geometry. Minimalist simplicity invites reflection; providing space to escape. It is a dialogue between light and darkness; a visual murmur that will resonate in the living space; inviting contemplation and inner tranquility. This painting on high quality Arches paper refers to the music of Miles Davis. The music of "'Round Midnight" expresses great softness and at the same time is very expressive. These are the two elements that I tried to bring into dialogue with this composition on paper. I think this is the case even in the way I paint this work. My movements are gentle; sometimes I barely touch the paper (see the video of this process).
