Patrick Piccinelli started this work in 2020 and completed it in 2021.

The chromatic composition is dominated by shades of blue: the blue of the horizontal lines; the indigo blue of the square and the pastel blue of the trace made with an aerosol.

The intense orange square acts as a revealer of blue shades (complementary colors).

The formal composition is structured and stabilized by the orange and blue squares and to a lesser extent by the white square inscribed in the "empty" space between orange and blue.

The theme of full and empty is a constant in the painter's work.

The trace and the black spots connect and disturb the geometric composition by suggesting an informal horizontal movement; underlined by the blue lines.

In the end; it is a dialogue between the still and the mobile; structure and chaos.
