This composition is based on a chromatic dialogue between cadmium yellow tones and black tones. Two pale gray squares frame the central yellow square. The very thin black lines form a square which remains open on the right. The formal composition evokes movement: on the one hand by the direction of the brushstrokes; second by the arrangement of the black and yellow spots. The traces and spots are arranged along a diagonal axis crossing the composition from bottom to top and from left to right. The square formed by the black lines is shifted in its position relative to the yellow square and this sliding is added to the general movement.
