This work on Arches paper evokes the calm and peaceful hours of dawn. I compare the soft morning light to a veil of golden silk that gently stretches over a sleeping landscape. The pastel pink tones speak to me of the light of the rising sun filtered by the morning mist. I never tire of contemplating this spectacle; both daily and extraordinary; from the large bay window of my workshop in the Swiss countryside located on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel.

when I look towards the horizon; I see the first rays of sunlight breaking through the light mist that still clings to the hills and fields.

It is a light full of promises; of possibilities. It evokes the freshness of a new beginning; the tenderness of a serene awakening and the delicacy of a suspended moment.
