I created this work with high quality artist acrylic paint; ultramarine pigment; Indian ink and an oil pastel from the famous French brand Sennelier; which only uses pigments from first quality.For me; still water metaphorically represents serenity and inner peace. I love seeing a perfectly still surface of water; a clear mirror reflecting the blue sky and floating clouds. This tranquil water symbolizes a peaceful soul; freed from the disturbances and turbulence of daily life.Like Lake Neuchâtel (near my studio in Switzerland); peaceful at sunrise; the calm water evokes a moment of clarity and contemplation. It invites reflection and introspection; providing a space where thoughts can rest gently; undisturbed by waves or strong currents. So still water is a powerful metaphor for inner peace; deep reflection and strength.
