The mixed media technique (I used walnut stain, acrylic, metallic pigment, and spray paint) combines areas of solid color with drip and splatter effects that reinforce the impression of spontaneity and natural force. The whole evokes the power of the wind and its transformative effect on everything it encounters, the bird becoming a metaphor for perpetual motion and natural energy in action.
