The work is made on Arches France paper; 300gr/m2. The total format is 50X65 cm; the painted format is 26X52 cm.Piccinelli is formally interested in the confrontation of order and freedom. In his artistic work we find geometric rigor but also an improvised poetic impulse. It is this tension between the formal and the informal that underlies all his visual research.The title of this work "Water from heaven" is a metaphor for transformation. It symbolizes rebirth and renewal; as it can transform from stealthy drops into majestic streams. It cleanses the wounds of the earth; purifies sins and leaves behind a renewed canvas where life can bloom again.But water from the sky is also a metaphor for the ephemeral. It invites us to appreciate every drop; every moment of grace and every gift of nature.
