This composition features primary colors—primarily varied blues; bright red-orange; and white spaces. The blue elements have a textured; fluid quality reminiscent of the marks left by water on sand or rocks after the tide has receded. Splashes; streaks; and areas of diffusion can be seen; evoking the movement of water. The geometric surfaces contrast with the more organic shapes of the blue elements.

The whole creates an interesting tension between structure and chaos; between defined geometric forms and more spontaneous and fluid marks - like the sea itself which is both predictable in its cyclical movements and unpredictable in its specific manifestations.

This work evokes the ephemeral essence of the "signs" that the sea leaves behind - temporary imprints; patterns and textures that bear witness to its passage and are destined to disappear over time.
