The work is based on a play of overlapping rectangles that never completely close. Two large squares with hand-drawn black outlines are superimposed, slightly offset—one extending to the upper left, the other to the lower right—creating a dynamic tension, as if the composition were in motion, constantly expanding. This rejection of geometric closure echoes the title: summer never ends, it overflows.

The very construction of the image defies any resolution: the rectangles are open or overflowing, the warm colors have no opposite in the composition, the lines lead nowhere definitive. The eye turns, returns, without a point of rest. This is visually what an endless summer is: a duration that refuses to close in on itself, a sensation that perpetuates itself beyond its season.
