Fall is Piccinelli's favorite season (along with spring!). It particularly appreciates the morning light in October. This work evokes the sublime colors of this season as well as the soft light of dawn.

The autumn dawn is an invitation to contemplate the ephemeral beauty of transformation; to savor the sweetness of the present moment before the perpetual cycle of nature continues.

It is a moment of transition marked by serenity and mystery; where the fresh air is full of new promises and where the falling leaves evoke both the end and the beginning.

"Agnès Martin defines her art in the following way: "My paintings have neither object nor space nor lines; or anything else - there is no form; they are made of light; of luminosity; they speak of fusion; of that which has no form; of the dissolution of form;"

Agnès Martin: Paintings and drawings 1974-1990; Amsterdam; Stedelijk Museum; 1991.
