Ah; day is breaking... It's as if the earth; after a long night of sleep; was slowly waking up to start a new day. It's a bit like nature itself catching its breath and getting ready to come back to life.

It is a time of day that Piccinelli particularly appreciates. The light is soft; the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. His studio is oriented towards the rising sun and for him as a painter it is the best light.

The birds wake up and begin to sing; the first rays of sunshine break through the clouds; and the morning breeze brings with it new energy.

The dawning day is like a promise of renewal. It's a chance to leave behind yesterday's mistakes and start a new day with a new mindset. It's the beginning of a new creative adventure where everything is possible and where nothing is written (or painted!) in advance.
