“This Morning, After The Rain”—the title evokes a suspended moment, the aftermath, the precise instant the rain has just stopped—moments I savor. For me, it evokes an almost miraculous atmosphere of luminous and pure peace.

The diffuse white light that envelops the canvas, its large empty spaces around the central composition, recalls that particular clarity of a post-rain morning, a washed-out, almost overexposed light, where the air still seems heavy with moisture.

The blue washes in the center are fundamental. These faded blues, with their floating edges and visible splash marks on the left, evoke the gesture of water on a surface, the way rain dilutes, spreads, and leaves halos as it dries. It is not a representation of the rain, but its trace, its imprint in memory.
